Director Edward L Cahn’s 1961 low-budget black and white support feature Western film Gun Fight stars James Brown, Gregg Palmer and Joan Staley, from a story by Gerald Drayson Adams, and is an almost identical remake of the 1956 movie Gun Brothers starring Buster Crabbe and Neville Brand.

Good ex-cavalryman brother Wayne Santley (James Brown) fights with his bad rancher rustler brother Brad (Palmer), who is redeemed in a noble death, while Brown weds nice Nora Blaine (Staley).

Gun Fight is adequate but predictable, no-frills B-movie Western fare, with not too many complications in a simple, straightforward script (by Gerald Drayson Adams and Richard Schayer).

It is made back to back with Cahn’s Gun Street, also with James Brown.

It is made for producer Robert E Kent’s Zenith Productions and released through United Artists.
