Freddy Got Fingered (2001, Tom Green, Rip Torn, Marisa Coughlan) – Classic Movie Review 8696

Co-writer/ director Tom Green’s 2001 comedy Freddy Got Fingered stars Tom Green as failing unemployed cartoonist Gord Brody, who is forced to move back home where he ends up weaving a web of lies designed to fox his overbearing father, Jim Brody (Rip Torn),  spreading rumours that his father is sexually abusing Gord’s younger brother Freddy (Eddie Kaye Thomas).

Beware this bizarre, revolting, unforgiveably tasteless and unpleasant gross-out comedy, wasting Rip Torn, Marisa Coughlan, Anthony Michael Hall, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Harland Williams, Julie Hagerty, Drew Barrymore, Jackson Davies, Connor Widdows, John R Taylor, Bob Osborne and Fiona Hogan.

It won five Razzie awards for Worst Picture, Worst Actor (Tom Green), Worst Screen Couple (Tom Green … and any animal he abuses), Worst Director (Tom Green), and Worst Screenplay (Tom Green, Derek Harvie).

Rip Torn, Drew Barrymore and Julie Hagerty missed out on Razzie awards.
