Writer/ producer/ director Henry Jaglom’s clever and cultish 1985 romantic drama Always is a Woody Allen-style tale of a group of friends with love, marriage and divorce on their minds – one couple is going to marry, the second is divorcing and the third is seemingly content.

This offbeat, sharp and funny film offers some very witty lines and incisive performances amid much navel-scratching and philosophising.

It stars Henry Jaglom, Patrice Townsend, Joanna Frank, Alan Rachins, Melissa Leo, Jonathan Kaufer, Bob Rafelson, Michael Emil and André Gregory.

Steven Spielberg re-used the title Always for his 1989 fantasy film with Richard Dreyfuss, Holly Hunter, Brad Johnson, John Goodman and Audrey Hepburn.
