Director Leslie S Hiscott’s tense and teasing 1941 British WW2 black and white mystery drama The Seventh Survivor stars Linden Travers, Austin Trevor, John Stuart, Martita Hunt, Frank Pettingell, Jane Carr, and Felix Aylmer.

The Seventh Survivor is a wartime melodrama of six castaways who sail to safety in their lifeboat only to be trapped in a lighthouse with a suspected quisling in their midst.

Six survivors escape in a lifeboat from a torpedoed neutral passenger merchant ship on its way to Portugal, and pick up a seventh survivor, Captain Hartzmann (Austin Trevor), the German captain of the U-boat that sunk their ship. The survivors are rescued by the crew of a lighthouse and the German captain is held prisoner, but a spy among the survivors plans to help him to escape. So there is a German spy and a British agent in their midst, but who are they?

Also in the cast are Charles Goldner, Wally Patch, Ronald Shiner, Henry Oscar, and Ralph Truman.
