Ghoulies II * (1987, Damon Martin, Royal Dano, Phil Fondacaro) – Classic Movie Review 10,285

Director Albert Band’s 1987 film Ghoulies II stars Damon Martin as Larry, Royal Dano as Uncle Ned and Phil Fondacaro as Sir Nigel Penneyweight, and is based on the characters created by Luca Bercovici and Jefery Levy in the 1984 Ghoulies.

The nasty little demons arrive at a rundown carnival show and prove a big hit in this gruesome black comedy horror sequel to the 1984 Ghoulies, uneasily mixing gory killing with sick laughs.

Ghoulies II is written by Dennis Paoli, based on Charlie Dolan’s story.

Also in the cast are J Downing, Kerry Remsen, Dale Wyatt, Jon Pennell, Sasha Jenson, Starr Andreeff, William Butler, and Donnie Jeffcoat.

It is followed by Ghoulies III: Ghoulies Go to College (1990) and Ghoulies IV (1994).
