Director Nate Wyatt’s lightly entertaining 1937 Western film Borderland stars William Boyd again as Hopalong Cassidy, a ranger who goes undercover and infiltrates an outlaw gang of border bad guys to destroy it, in the popular ninth Hopalong Cassidy Western in what turned out to be the longest-running movie series ever.
Also in the cast are George ‘Gabby’ Hayes, Morris Ankrum [Stephen Morris], Russell Hayden, James Ellison, John Beach, Charlene Wyatt, Nora Lane, Trevor Bardette, Earle Hodgins, Al Bridge, John St Polis, and George Cheseboro.
It was released on 26 February 1937 by Paramount Pictures.
It is followed by In Old Mexico (1938).
