Lew Ayres stars as Dr James Kildare, who cures a mental patient with shock therapy. Meanwhile, wealthy brain surgeon Dr Gregory Lane (Shepperd Strudwick) competes with Kildare for the affections of attractive nurse Mary Lamont (Laraine Day).
Dr Kildare’s Strange Case is an intriguing and busy episode using then up-to-date hospital details in some detail for realism and novelty value.
This excellent, above-average series episode is especially good and was especially popular.
It is the fifth of ten Dr Kildare films.
Horace MacMahon joins the cast as taxi driver ‘Foghorn’ Murphy.
