Writer/ director José Eduardo Cortés Moreno’s 2022 Mexican personal romantic comedy drama film Tell Me About Yourself [Háblame de ti] stars Germán Bracco as Chava, a 17-year-old boy who has a secret female admirer, but feels more attracted to boys. As he leaves school one rainy day, Carlos (Martín Saracho) offers him a ride.

One day Chava receives a message from a secret admirer who calls herself Brujita, asking him to meet her in person. On his way to meet her he discovers a series of secrets from his family. But, after meeting Carlos, he begins to discover his real self.

Tell Me About Yourself  [Háblame de ti] is an attractive, appealing movie, successfully mixing comedy and romance with coming-of-age drama and discovery of sexual identity. It is fresh, fun and funny, comedic but real seeming too, scoring some serious points along the way as it deals with important issues, and delivered with some style and panache, and charming performances.

Stars: Germán Bracco, Martín Saracho, Arcelia Ramírez and Julio Bracho.

Runtime: 90 minutes.

It premiered on October 6, 2022 in Mexico.

It was financed by the Program for the Promotion of Mexican Cinema (Focine). Shooting started at the end of 2021 in Guanajuato, La Mina de Guadalupen and the alleys of the state capital.
